Re: High Beam
aiya, those 2nd hand car dealers won't bother one. standard price I think. I upsized my rims from 14" to 15" also like not much difference. should have sold off my rims before trading in my car. :\

Re: High Beam
Just replace my H7 original headlamp to Philips X-treme Vision saturday before going back to Malaysia. And try 2 days night driving from Johor to Kelantan , the light works perfect. Its a yellowish light and you can see more better during midnight especially foggy journal.

Re: High Beam
Which brand and type you change?
For me i need long distance driving so i change to yellowish type light coz my previous car mod with HID with white colour was bad if driving in foggy road.

Re: High Beam
some cheap brand but very white, not suitable for you since you drive long distance. hehe.
but philips are good, at least heard that it's better than osram which lasts only for a few months. price also about the same.

is very subjective de. some pple say philips good and some say osram good.
depend the goods manufacture at the point of time and the usage too.

Re: High Beam
yup. I have also heard of friends saying their philips diamond vision lasted them only a couple of months too. I think it's also how the person install, improper installation can lead to lifespan shortening.

Re: High Beam
preference ba. I used to use Giga or Gilga brand headlights. cost me about $80 at autobacs. then now I'm using some cheap $38 headlights, works the same to me. no diff. so I'm quite happy that I saved myself $42 haha..

This is very true.Terry_gerrard wrote:is very subjective de. some pple say philips good and some say osram good.

Luck plays a part. In manufacturing.. u cannot achieve 0 PPM (parts per million). Eg... every 1 million bulb produced, maybe 100 or 500 pcs only 80% or lesser .. still pass the quality test....
Upon installation, the bulb head SHOULD NEVER be touched by our fingers due to impurities will adhere on the bulb and cause un-uniform heating of the bulb and cause the filament to break prematurely.Identiti wrote:yup.
