To add Bodykit with stock Rims? Empty To add Bodykit with stock Rims?

Hi all,

Have anyone added Bodykits but on stock Rim?
Will the car looks funny?

Will upsizing the rims to 17" reduce the gap with the wheel arch?
Do not want to change to lower spring or coilover as i am concern on the loss of comfort level.

Any advise?

bro,

From my understanding, upsizing of rims to any size will not reduce the gap with the wheel arch. it is only that the rubber tyre gets thinner and thinner as the size of the rims goes bigger and bigger. total size of the wheel is the same though

once you change to 17 and the tyre gets thinner, your comfort level diminishes and noise increases. However, the gap will also get smaller if say, you changed to 215/55/R17. Last weekend, in Holiday Plaza i saw a malaysia registered light blue elantra with 225/55/R17 with a tyre brand i never heard of. I wonder how they fit in.

The type of tyre u choose also affects comfort level.
