Convert to SG will be $293.90... Then workmanship in local charge around $50 to $80... Due to need to mod current headlight and glue it back... Smile

I was thinking of should it be getting a whole set of headlamps so will leave our stock headlamps untouched? So when it comes to inspection just install back the whole stock headlamps to pass it. Afterwhich just change back to the mod headlamps?

Correct me if I'm wrong? tongue

Actually u may do that also.. Mod stock headlight will be abit expensive depends on what kind of modding ways... If add here and there it will be expensive.. If only add a item in your headlight, then is cheaper then buying whole headlight.. Like this topic post, this is another type of DRL and some people like it but some don.. Some will prefer my type of DRL, some don... Is depends on what kind of style u prefer..

Then buying whole headlight that's come with audi style DRL and projector HID is worth it then mod current headlight but the style is fix and u can't mod that headlight anymore. Somemore able to keep stock headlight as u say for inspection or in future able to change it back to stock headlight due to selling your car and for the audi style headlight, able to sell to others and earn back some cash.. Actually choice is yours...

For me, I prefer something diff from others and it make it unity.. Smile

bravo! this looks much better than the one installed in i40. But look good only in dark areas and night time. It doesn't look bright enough as DRL.

How difficult is it to swap the headlamps? Is it a matter of unbolting/unscrewing and replacing it? Can the average person do it or must die die get workshop to do?

Personally the one I am keen is this one which is supposedly the original Hyundai HID one with built in ballast, etc. all self-contained.

I find it not worth getting this original headlights came from mobis... Aftermarket headlight that comes with audi style DRL and projector HID with angel eye cost around below $800... Jeff bro get this aftermarket headlight @ TLW just below $800 will makes his ride attractive liao... And for this original mobis headlight comes with projector HID only cost 1K plus.... Just because it's came from "original mobis" and anyway, LTA will also not approve this original projector headlight too.. Then thats the case y don choose a more stylish headlight and is cheaper then the mobis headlight.. I wouldn't spend on this headlight if I will u... I just telling the facts and the true.. No offense to bros out there... Choice is yours... Wink

Yup, I would also loved to change to a aftermarket Audi style headlamp with angel eyes but even though it's much cheaper is still outside my budget. Unless I strike 4D or Toto cheers

Bro Derek's thread somewhere in this forum has the link to the superichmotors.com there has alot of Elantra exterior accessories as a guide which also looked very nice to me. NightzConcepts also does headlamps cost wise I'm not too sure but it's another alternative to consider.

But I quite like this headlamp in the video posted above really

I prefer go workshop to find professional to fix up... Simple DIY can be done by yourself but those need to dismantle and fix it back like front grill, plug & play required wire connected is better to find professional to settle it... Scare later make things worst or accidental scratches the interior or exterior, u will be jumping around or smashing your heart... affraid

This DRL as above required DIY on your stock headlights... Means need to dismantle the headlight and install this DRL into it... Lastly then it needed to glue it back nice and seal, if not your headlight will have water vapour built inside... For mine, I'm this kind of mod on my stock headlight... After all no problems after mod... Very Happy
