0w20 is less porotection
5w30 alightly more protection.
i will receommend 5w30.

If u have change to synthetic oil during 1k servicing, 5K no need to change anymore can wait till 10k servicing.

Same as me, trying many way to make my car better performance, bro terry any interest in Iridium Plug ? Heard from my friend that he change to Iridium plug does help in performance and FC

Hi, just curious..
As default in the Engine Oil, all our Elantra come with Shell Helix.
Is there any recommended or preferred Engine Oil other than the default one in achieving better performance?
How often do we change them - ?? Km? Thanks..

Hi Bro,

Seriously, engine oil really depends on individual preference.. I know some of us here stick to Motul, some used pennzoil, redline etc...some stayed on with Shell Helix... one man meat might be another man poison... Very Happy

Personally, I prefer Motul than Shell Helix... slightly more expensive but overall i feel its more responsive...so far, i changed my oil at 1k, 5k (optional), 10k, 20k..

FYI, if u bring in ur engine oil, KMC only deducts $75 from ur servicing cost if I didnt rem wrongly. However, inside their servicing package, if we used their in house Shell Helix, i think they charges us more than $75... Evil or Very Mad

currently also using this oil for my 20k km oil change.. dun feel much difference. also used this oil for my previous ride. used it for about 4 oil changes.
